A child pedestrian was killed in an accident in a school parking lot in Davenport.

Details about the Child Pedestrian Accident

KWQC is reporting that the Davenport Police have identified the child that was involved in the pedestrian accident as 3-year-old Braddock Shovlain of Davenport.

All Saints Catholic School Principle Jeanne VonFeldt said that the child who was hit and killed in the parking lot on Sunday was a member of a family that attends St. Paul’s Catholic School. The principal further stated in a letter that was sent to parents, that the child was with a group of students from All Saints Catholic School and St. Paul’s Catholic School playing in the parking lot of the school when the small child was hit and killed by a car.

A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit the child in the parking lot who was then taken to the Genesis East medical Center to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The child was declared dead when he arrived at the hospital.

An investigation by the Davenport Police Department into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
