Amber Magee

Ms. Amber Magee received her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Pre-Law concentration from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian of her class.

Ms. Magee entered law school with substantial courtroom exposure and built on it throughout her studies. As an SJC 3.03 certified student attorney with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, she represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in district court proceedings including arraignments, bail hearings, and pre-trial conferences, and tried criminal cases while managing every stage of trial preparation, including witness preparation, evidence review, and courtroom advocacy. She also served as a certified student attorney in the Mental Health Litigation Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, representing clients in civil commitment hearings at Bridgewater State Hospital. Earlier in her studies, Ms. Magee externed with the Office of the Senate Counsel in Boston, analyzing pending state legislation, and interned with the Volunteer Lawyers Project, assisting attorneys in eviction defense matters in Housing Court.

At Suffolk, Ms. Magee served as Chief Justice of the Student Bar Association, completed the school’s Prosecutor Program, and was a member of the Black Law Student Association. She was awarded the Thaddeus Alexander Kitchener Scholarship.

Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Magee practiced as a litigation associate in Dallas, where she managed a high-volume docket in Justice, District, and County Courts across Texas, appearing for trials and motion hearings and negotiating resolutions with opposing counsel.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Magee has focused her practice on the representation of clients injured in car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability accidents, and workplace accidents. Her trial background and attention to detail drive her to pursue justice and fair compensation on behalf of every client she represents.

Beyond her work as an attorney, Ms. Magee volunteers with Legalline, a pro bono phone clinic, and with the Salvation Army. She has danced for 18 years and enjoys painting, yoga, and reading.
