Brian A. Pena

Mr. Brian A. Pena earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin. He then attended Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law as a Juris Doctor candidate, where he was named to the Dean’s List in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. During law school, Mr. Pena mentored first-year students through the Hispanic Law Students Association, meeting with them one-on-one about study methods, class preparation, and exam strategy. He also spoke to incoming students on behalf of the Student Bar Association about adjusting to law school and preparing for final exams.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Pena worked as a judicial intern at the Thirteenth Court of Appeals in Edinburg. There, he researched civil and criminal matters before the court and wrote legal memoranda that were reviewed by supervising attorneys and sitting appellate judges. Earlier, he interned with the United States Marshals Service in McAllen, where he helped with courthouse security and interviewed federal judges, federal and state agents, prosecutors, and public defenders about their work. Since 2015, he has also worked on his family’s ranch in Zapata, where he helps with livestock and land operations and with business matters such as taxes and wind energy leasing projects.

At Thomas J. Henry Law, Mr. Pena works with the firm’s San Antonio team to represent injury victims and their families. He brings the work ethic of a lifelong South Texas ranch hand and a firsthand understanding of how courts work to every client he serves.
