Ms. Carah-Beth Bass earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal and as a Legal Practice Teaching Fellow. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas, where she participated in the Liberal Arts Honors Program and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Bass brings extensive litigation experience to her practice at Thomas J. Henry Law. Throughout her career, she has represented individuals, government agencies, and organizations in state and federal courts and has handled a wide range of civil and personal injury matters. Her experience includes managing cases from initial proceedings through hearings, trials, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Bass served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Civil Division of the Comal County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, where she represented the Department of Family and Protective Services in legal matters and gained significant first-chair jury trial and juvenile trial experience. She previously represented county government agencies and employees in state and federal litigation involving personal injury, property disputes, employment matters, constitutional claims, and other civil litigation. She also served as an Assistant County Attorney in Midland County, where she handled hearings, bench and jury trials, appellate proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Bass has also practiced as a solo attorney and in private practice, where she managed complex litigation and represented clients in personal injury, employment litigation, criminal defense, family law, and other matters. Her experience includes taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, handling mediations and trials, and working with experts to develop and present complex evidence.
Ms. Bass is licensed to practice law in Texas. She received the Robert J. and Ann Burbridge Award for Excellence in Criminal Defense from Texas Tech University School of Law and has been recognized for her academic achievements throughout her legal education.
