Mr. Daniel J. Rios earned his Juris Doctor at The University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he served as Secretary of the Student Bar Association, held leadership roles with the Black Law Students Association and the Transactional and Corporate Law Association, and completed 115 hours of pro bono service. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science, graduated with distinction, from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
During law school, Mr. Rios represented clients as a certified student practitioner in the Community Development Law Clinic, where he guided nonprofit organizations through formation, governance, and tax-exempt status, drafted articles of incorporation, bylaws, waivers, release forms, and indemnification agreements, and advised clients on state and federal compliance questions. He gained further experience through legal internships in corporate and public-sector settings, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, conducting research across all fifty states, and supporting due diligence work. He went on to serve as associate counsel for a Houston manufacturer, where he drafted, negotiated, and reviewed more than fifty contracts, coordinated negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, and built a contract management system that reduced contract cycle times. He later founded his own practice, advising clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements across the energy, healthcare, and technology industries. That grounding in careful drafting, negotiation, and direct client counseling shapes how he approaches a case today.
As an attorney with Thomas J. Henry Law, Mr. Rios represents clients involved in car accidents, truck accidents, company vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and premises liability accidents. He is licensed in Texas and the District of Columbia.

I had a great experience! Me and my daughter got in a car accident 2023 and they were able to reach a settlement for us. My favorite aspect was the communication and how much they care. Highly recommend!
