Desiree D. Gurulé earned her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, where she received the Award for Excellence in Family Law and the Sheehan, Sheehan, and Stelzner Pursuit of Excellence Award. Before law school, she studied English and Spanish at the University of New Mexico.
Ms. Gurulé brings more than 15 years of civil litigation experience in New Mexico and Texas. She began her career as a resource attorney, advising homeowners facing foreclosure and screening for possible mortgage fraud. She later co-owned and ran a law practice handling tort, civil rights, employment, and subrogation matters, practicing before New Mexico state district courts, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. After moving to Dallas, Ms. Gurulé worked at several litigation firms on personal injury, premises liability, mass tort, employment, contract, and construction matters, with heavy discovery and motions practice through trial and appeal. Most recently, she was Associate Vice President and Litigation Attorney at a national title insurance company, handling real property litigation, mediation, and settlement negotiation.
At Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Gurulé is an attorney in the firm’s Dallas office, where she uses her experience in claim evaluation, discovery, and trial preparation to represent injured clients and their families. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and its Community Involvement Committee, and she is a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary.
