Desiree Odiase

Ms. Desiree Odiase earned her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., where she also completed a Family Law Certificate and was a member of the Business Law Society and the Black Law Students Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Economics, and Law, cum laude, from SUNY College at Old Westbury in New York.

In law school, Ms. Odiase was a research assistant on a legal research project about how federal grant and agency funding cuts affected organizations that serve students and families. She researched the legal effects of administrative actions and wrote reports to inform policy discussions. As a legal intern at a Washington, D.C. legal services organization, she interviewed clients about housing violations, drafted client correspondence, and prepared FOIA requests. She also interned in a New York state senator’s district office, where she worked directly with constituents, and volunteered as a curriculum and tutoring assistant at a D.C. middle school.

Ms. Odiase now represents injured clients from Thomas J. Henry Law’s San Antonio office. Outside the office, she enjoys playing samba drums and cooking.
