Attorney Dirk Johnson earned a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. Johnson also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
Johnson’s legal experience spans personal injury litigation, insurance disputes, workers’ compensation, and public service. In private practice, Johnson represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice and other serious personal injury cases, handling claims from inception through trial and serving as lead counsel in jury trials involving medical malpractice and workplace injuries. Johnson also defended state agencies and employees as an Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Tort Litigation Division. Additional experience includes serving as General Counsel for the Texas Department of Insurance’s Division of Workers’ Compensation, Chief Counsel for the Texas Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, and Deputy Public Insurance Counsel for the Office of Public Insurance Counsel of Texas. Johnson was also appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Texas Senate to serve as Public Counsel for the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, which assists injured employees in workers’ compensation disputes.
At Thomas J. Henry Law, Johnson focuses on representing clients injured in automobile accidents, company vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability incidents, and workplace accidents. Johnson brings experience in jury trials, settlement negotiations, expert-witness depositions, and medical-record review to this work.
