Ms. Elizabeth R. Dimmitt received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Cincinnati, Ohio and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Ms. Dimmitt was active in advocacy and legal scholarship throughout law school. She was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law School Moot Court Honor Board and served as its Executive Director, and she was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review, where she served as Notes and Comments Chair. Her article on the role of drug quantity in federal sentencing was published in the University of Cincinnati Law Review, examining how circuit courts should determine the mandatory minimum sentence for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Dimmitt served as a Public Defender with the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office in Dayton, Ohio, where she represented clients through every stage of criminal proceedings, including hearings and trials. She conducted numerous bench and jury trials and built her practice around client-centered representation.
Since joining the firm, Ms. Dimmitt has focused her practice on the representation of clients injured in car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability accidents, and workplace accidents. She became an attorney to make a positive impact on others and to defend individuals’ constitutional rights, and she brings a hardworking, goal-driven, and compassionate approach to the clients she represents.
Beyond her work as an attorney, Ms. Dimmitt enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio.
