Mrs. Erica Mayon completed her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Southern University Law Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently pursuing a master’s from Northeastern University.
Mrs. Mayon has been a legal advocate for over 13 years and has successfully represented thousands of clients from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives. She is skilled at handling legal matters, including business, family, estate planning, and personal injury—from case inception through litigation when necessary.
Mrs. Mayon gained experience as an associate attorney at a Louisiana-based firm, where she handled a caseload consisting primarily of personal injury matters. She directed all aspects of litigation, from file inception to case resolution, including client contact, discovery, depositions, motion practice, legal research and writing, negotiation, jury selection, and trials.
Mrs. Mayon is a lifetime member of both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocate forums. Before her recent move to Texas, Mrs. Mayon served as law clerk to judges in general jurisdiction district court while simultaneously maintaining her own legal practice focusing on business law. Mrs. Mayon also has a history in education as a former high school English teacher and adjunct professor at the Southern University Law Center.
Beyond her work as an attorney, Mrs. Mayon is happily married with three children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, adventuring with the family, and relaxing with science fiction novels.
