Giovanna Rabelo Ferreira earned a Master of Laws in Comparative and International Law from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2025, where Ferreira was a member of the Corporate Law Association. Before that, Ferreira earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Catholic University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. Ferreira wrote a dissertation there on the protection and inclusion of refugees under Brazilian law and took part in the Pernambuco Model United Nations.
Ferreira is licensed to practice law in Brazil. In Recife, Ferreira clerked for the 2nd Domestic and Family Violence Court, preparing opinions in chambers with the judge and tracking deadlines for hearings and trials. Ferreira then practiced with law firms in Recife, first as an intern and later as an associate. That work included legal research and drafting in civil procedure, insurance, contracts, banking, and tax matters, along with supporting lawyers in proceedings and negotiations. More recently, Ferreira was an extern with the North Texas Tollway Authority, assisting the Assistant General Counsel with contract review and legal research.
Ferreira now brings this legal background to Thomas J. Henry Law’s Dallas office, helping injured clients and their families. Ferreira is a native Portuguese speaker and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Brazil Bar Association’s Committee on International Relations.
