Ismael Sarah

Mr. Ismael Sarah earned his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. In law school, he was a Dean’s Scholar Award recipient for four consecutive semesters, held the Dean’s Tuition Scholarship, and earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Disability Law, Advanced Legal Research, and the Parole and Re-entry Clinic Practicum. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Louisiana State University, where he was named University Medalist.

While in law school, Mr. Sarah was a student attorney with the LSU Parole Assistance and Re-entry Clinic. He prepared a client and the client’s family for a parole hearing, wrote and presented a brief to the Louisiana Parole Board in support of the client’s release, and the client was granted parole. He also clerked for a New Orleans law firm, where he researched insurance defense, transportation liability, and maritime law matters and drafted motions for summary judgment. After graduation, he worked as an associate attorney for more than two years, representing businesses, nonprofits, and individuals before the IRS and state agencies. He also took part in IRS-sponsored pro bono programs that helped taxpayers resolve federal tax disputes.

At Thomas J. Henry Law, Mr. Sarah brings his research skills, advocacy experience, and clear communication with clients to injury victims and their families in Austin and across Texas.
