Mr. Jeremy “Jerry” Ritter earned his Juris Doctor at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, with a minor in legal studies from Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia, where he competed for four years as an NCAA varsity lacrosse player and served as a presidential ambassador.
Mr. Ritter built his foundation in advocacy through competitive trial work and hands-on injury practice. As a member of the St. Mary’s National Trial Team, he reached the regional finals of the 2023 ABA Arbitration Competition and advanced to the national competition, reached the regional finals of the 2024 National Trial Competition at Baylor University, and was named Most Outstanding Advocate in the trial team’s 2024 inter-squad tournament. He also served as vice president of the Democratic Law Student Association. As a law clerk with a San Antonio injury firm, he wrote plaintiffs’ original petitions, legal memoranda, and initial demand packages, prepared state and federal case law briefs, supported partner attorneys through negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, and attended depositions in preparation for trial. Earlier, as a legal intern with a St. Louis firm, he conducted legislative research to support case construction and prepared materials for a range of legal processes. He also co-founded a campus violence prevention program in Georgia, where he built the school’s first interactive education plan on gender-based violence and led preventative presentations for student groups.
As an attorney with Thomas J. Henry Law, Mr. Ritter represents clients involved in car accidents, truck accidents, company vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and premises liability accidents. Courtroom competition sharpened the advocacy skills he now applies to building his clients’ cases. He speaks conversational Spanish and is a two-time graduate of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.
