Jonathan L. Whisenhunt

Jonathan L. Whisenhunt earned a Juris Doctor in 2014 from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. At St. Mary’s, Whisenhunt was a semi-finalist in the Linda and Dave Schlueter 2012 Moot Court Competition and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice from 2013 to 2014. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

During law school, Whisenhunt interned with the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Judicial District of Texas, drafting judicial opinions and bench memoranda, and with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas as a judicial intern for the Hon. Caroline Craven, preparing reports, recommendations, and pre-trial rulings. From 2013 to 2015, he served as a law clerk in the Travis County Attorney’s Office, drafting legal opinions for elected and appointed county officials. He later represented plaintiffs in motor vehicle negligence and premises liability cases, preparing Stowers demands, negotiating with insurance carriers, and reconciling subrogation interests. As principal attorney of an Austin practice, he has represented plaintiffs in personal injury claims and advised small-business owners on formation, compliance, agreements, estate planning, and probate.

At Thomas J. Henry Law, Whisenhunt focuses on representing clients injured in automobile accidents, company vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability incidents, and workplace accidents.
