Morgan G. Latin

Morgan G. Latin earned a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston. While there, Latin served as President of the Black Law Students Association, Vice Chair of the Board of Advocates, and a Varsity Advocate in the South Texas Advocacy Program, and was named a 2019 Blask Fellow by the Federal Bar Association Southern District of Texas Chapter. Latin also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Latin began a legal career as a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Latin went on to serve as an Assistant City Attorney in the City of Houston Legal Department’s Torts and Civil Rights Section, leading case strategy and arguing dispositive and discovery motions in state and federal court. Latin later practiced at personal injury firms, managing cases from intake through trial, taking depositions of treating physicians, experts, and corporate representatives, negotiating settlements, and serving as second chair in a trucking accident jury trial. Before law school, Latin taught middle school English in Houston and Mississippi through Teach for America and KIPP Houston Public Schools.

At Thomas J. Henry Law’s Houston office, Latin brings this litigation experience to clients who have been injured and their families. Outside the courtroom, Latin coaches law graduates preparing for the bar exam and enjoys motivational speaking, singing, and leading praise and worship.
