Nadia Mendieta

Ms. Nadia Mendieta earned her law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and spent a dual-degree year at the University of the Basque Country in Spain. She then completed graduate specializations in Criminal and Criminological Sciences and in Disciplinary Law at Universidad Externado de Colombia. She also completed advanced compliance training at Universidad de los Andes. Most recently, she earned her Master of Laws from Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, with A grades in every course.

Ms. Mendieta has more than 16 years of legal experience in Colombia. She began her career at a Bogotá law firm, first as a paralegal and then as a lawyer. She represented clients in court as defense counsel and as a victim’s representative, prepared legal memoranda, and helped build defense strategies. She later led the firm’s criminal and disciplinary law department, where she managed the team and advised corporate clients. As a partner at a Bogotá criminal law firm, she has led courtroom representation, internal investigations, and compliance programs for clients in the retail, mining, digital marketplace, and financial sectors.

At Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Mendieta works out of the firm’s Dallas office, helping clients who have been injured through the negligence of others. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
