Olivia Serna

Ms. Olivia Serna earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2024. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Southwest Texas Junior College.

While attending St. Mary’s University School of Law, Ms. Serna was involved with several student organizations, including the Criminal Law Association, Hispanic Law Student Association, Student Animal Defense Fund, and Lawtina Network. She also served as an SM1LE mentor.

Before joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Serna gained legal experience as a summer intern with Bexar County District Court Administration. In that role, she analyzed court judgments and made recommendations regarding Nunc Pro Tunc motions, drafted and processed writs of habeas corpus, reviewed inmate records, and evaluated affidavits of inability to pay. She also maintained communication with court clerks and attorneys, further developing her legal research, writing, and communication skills.

Ms. Serna has also volunteered with Haven for Hope ID Recovery and Catholic Charities of Central Texas. Additionally, she participated as a pro bono volunteer in a Jury Selection Competition, gaining practical experience with voir dire and trial preparation strategies.

Ms. Serna brings her legal education, court experience, and commitment to serving others to her work advocating for individuals and families following serious accidents and injuries.
