Ms. Ondrejia L. Scott attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she pursued a Juris Doctor and received the Dean’s Award, the Pro Bono Public Service Award, and the Women in Law Leadership Award. During law school, Ms. Scott served as president of the Law Society for Sports, Entertainment, and Media, was a member of the St. Mary’s Law National Team for alternative dispute resolution, and competed in the National Sports Law Negotiation Competition. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Ms. Scott began her career working in insurance sales, issuing first-party and third-party insurance contracts. That work gave her firsthand insight into how insurance companies approach coverage. In law school, she was a senior research fellow with a veterans’ legal advocacy organization, where she drafted national security research memos and helped prepare a U.S. Presidential Pardon application. She also interned with a criminal district court, helping with jury selection and drafting orders and bench memos. After law school, Ms. Scott practiced as an associate attorney at a civil litigation firm, where she conducted legal research, drafted discovery and discovery responses, and appeared at hearings and depositions.
At Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Scott brings her litigation and insurance experience to representing individuals and families injured through the negligence of others. She is also committed to community service and has supported bail relief efforts and fundraising for a community fund serving African American communities.
