Winston Jarrett

Mr. Winston W. Jarrett earned his Master of Laws, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida, with a concentration in banking, corporate, finance, and securities law. He also holds a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School at the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies at Mona in Kingston, Jamaica, where he graduated with upper second-class honors and earned a place on the Dean’s List.

Mr. Jarrett was recognized repeatedly for advocacy and academic performance during his legal education. He received the Hon. Miss Madge Morgan Prize for outstanding trial advocacy skills and the Phillip C. Jessup Mooting Prize, and he was named the 55th best speaker in the advanced world rounds of the 2021 Jessup competition. He was also awarded the Hon. James Kerr Memorial Bursary for excellence in criminal law, the Murray and Tucker Bursary, and top performer honors in Caribbean Commonwealth human rights law.

Before entering private practice in Texas, Mr. Jarrett served as a law clerk in the Office of the General Counsel at the Florida Department of Financial Services, where he prepared administrative actions for the prosecution and enforcement division. He also interned with a Houston immigration firm, handling case support, document preparation, and client communication, and spent more than a year as a teaching assistant at Florida State University College of Law overseeing students in the Juris Master’s program.

Mr. Jarrett was admitted to practice in Texas in 2024 and has since handled litigation for two Dallas area firms. His work has included creditors’ rights matters and claims brought on behalf of financial institutions, along with family law litigation, mediations, and litigation intake. That experience gave him a working command of contested case posture, negotiation, and direct client contact from first interview through resolution.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Jarrett has focused his practice on the representation of clients injured in car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability accidents, and workplace accidents. He brings the same preparation to injury claims that earned him recognition as a trial advocate.
