2019 Event Has New “Bark ‘till Dark” Theme and Later Start Time!
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 23, 2019) – The fifth annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest and Expo will be happening at Sunken Garden Theater in San Antonio Saturday, October 5th!
This year’s “Bark ‘till Dark” theme means a later start time (4pm) with spook-tacular décor, Halloween and fall-themed photo booths, a haunted hay bale maze, and more!
The family-friendly event, which raises money for local pet rescues, also features dozens of pet vendors, food trucks, pets for adoption, a kid’s zone with bounce houses and games, and free face painting.
The entire event centers on the pet costume contest, which runs on multiple stages all day long. Costume contest prizes range from $50 for all semi-finalists all the way up to $1,000 for our 1st Place winner!
The event is free to the public. All proceeds from the event, including contest registration fees and vendor fees, go directly to San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA) and Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL).
Contestants can pre-register their pets for $7 at bark.tjhlaw.com or register on-site the day of the event for $10 (cash only).
