8th Annual Bark in the Park Comes to Corpus Christi on October 26

2019 Event Has New “Bark ‘till Dark” Theme, New Location, and Later Start Time!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (October 21, 2019) – The eighth annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest and Expo will be happening at this Saturday at Water’s Edge Park in Corpus Christi.

This year’s “Bark ‘till Dark” theme means a later start time (4pm) with spook-tacular décor, Halloween and fall-themed photo booths, a haunted hay bale maze, and more! To better accommodate new additions and expansions to this year’s event, Bark in the Park has been moved to Corpus Christi’s recently completed Water’s Edge Park.

The family-friendly event, which raises money for local pet rescues, also features dozens of pet vendors, food trucks, pets for adoption, a kid’s zone with bounce houses and games, and free face painting.

The entire event centers on the pet costume contest, which runs on multiple stages all day long. Costume contest prizes range from $50 for all semi-finalists all the way up to $1,000 for our 1st Place winner!

The event is free to the public. All event proceeds, including 100% of costume contest ticket sales and vendor fees go directly to local pet rescue organizations Gulf Coast Humane Society, P.A.L.S. Animal Shelter, and Peewee’s Pet Adoption World & Sanctuary.

Contestants can pre-register their pets for $7 at tjhlaw.com or register on-site the day of the event for $10 (cash only).
