Trane Furnaces Recalled Due to Shock Hazard
Trane U.S. Inc. has issued a recall of approximately 17,700 furnaces. The ground wire in the furnace’s junction box can become loose and cause an electrical component to fail or short circuit. This would pose a shock hazard to the user.
About the Recall of Trane Furnaces
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should stay away from furnaces until the replacement of the junction box.
Consumers can contact Trane to receive a free replacement junction box and installation.
No incidents or injuries have been reported.
