Katelynn was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. From a young age, she enjoyed helping people and found that her passion to improve the lives of others was best suited for a legal career. In pursuit of this passion, Katelynn received her undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Spanish and her law degree from Ohio Northern Pettit College of Law.
After graduating from law school, Katelynn obtained her license to practice law in Ohio. She then joined a consulting firm in Ohio where she advised local villages, cities and counties on all aspects of labor and employment law.
Katelynn relocated to Texas in 2019 where she worked at a small consulting company on EEO related matters. In this role, she was a neutral independent attorney consultant who investigated complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other actions under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and other federal and state laws for federal agency employees.
Katelynn obtained her license to practice law in Texas and later worked as an external attorney consultant for a large financial institution. In this position, she conducted internal fraud investigations related to elder financial exploitation and abuse, investigated internal workplace discrimination/harassment complaints and filed suspicious activity reports to ensure the financial institution complied with regulatory requirements.
Katelynn’s life goal has been to give a voice to those who are in need. She enjoys representing and advising individuals on their legal rights and finding a workable solution to complex issues. Outside of the practice of law, Katelynn enjoys spending time with her fiancée, traveling and playing pickup basketball.
