Robert J. Carlisle IV, Esquire, is a Texas-licensed attorney with a uniquely versatile legal background and a career shaped by technical precision, courtroom advocacy, and a lifelong commitment to justice. Drawing from his early experience as an electronics lab leader at Schlumberger and as a Certified Electronics Technician, Mr. Carlisle brings both engineering insight and legal strategy to his work—particularly in patent law and complex litigation.
Mr. Carlisle’s practice spans a range of areas, including intellectual property, personal injury, commercial disputes, family law, and criminal defense. He has worked extensively in the energy sector, drafting and negotiating contracts for Chevron Phillips Chemical and handling technical compliance issues for sophisticated hardware in the oil and gas industry. In the courtroom, Mr. Carlisle has passionately defended clients facing serious allegations—including a U.S. Army captain wrongfully charged in a negligent homicide case, whom Mr. Carlisle cleared by uncovering key evidence and proving command responsibility was properly delegated.
He holds a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with additional technical coursework in C and R programming. He is a CompTIA A+ certified technician, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and an Associate-Level Certified Electronics Technician through ISCET.
