Stephen”Steve” A. Schoenhoff

Steve Schoenhoff is a dedicated personal injury attorney with a diverse professional background spanning law, publishing, real estate, and international development. As Managing Attorney at Thomas J. Henry Law, he leads pre-litigation strategies for personal injury cases. Steve’s passion for law was shaped by a lifelong commitment to helping others. Born in Alberta, Canada, he moved to Indiana for college and Virginia for law school. Before entering law school, he spent time in Eastern Europe, where he played a key role in launching a community resource center to assist Slovakia’s transition to democracy after the fall of the Iron Curtain. His work contributed to the drafting of Slovakia’s first-ever laws on charitable giving, strengthening his conviction that law can drive meaningful change in communities and individual lives.

Before his legal career, Steve worked in real estate and business consulting during the 2008 financial downturn, gaining firsthand experience with foreclosures, evictions, and financial hardships. This exposure deepened his understanding of the struggles faced by many clients in personal injury cases, where financial uncertainty often compounds the challenges of recovery. His ability to navigate both legal and financial obstacles makes him a strong advocate for his clients.

In addition to his legal work, Steve has a background in publishing and education. As Editor-in-Chief at a boutique publishing house, he negotiated contracts, managed editorial projects, and oversaw the publication of dozens of works of fiction and non-fiction, including several bestsellers. His ability to analyze and refine complex narratives translates seamlessly into his legal writing and case strategy, ensuring that he builds compelling, well-supported arguments for his clients.

Beyond practicing law, Steve has been actively involved in education and mentorship. He has taught courses on constitutional law, comparative worldviews, and legal research in the U.S. and internationally, including at Komenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Steve is also a classically trained cellist who enjoys performing with community orchestras, chamber groups, and ensembles. He teaches violin, cello, and music theory to homeschool students in North Dallas.
