KWTX News reports that 19-year-old Bryce Tamez has been placed in critical care treatment after an early Friday wreck, November 13.
Tamez was severely hurt in a crash that took place on Highway 93 and Old 95 in Temple. Reports from his family state that he was driving around 1:30 am when the accident occurred. The wreck left Tamez trapped in the vehicle for an extended period before being rescued by emergency services. Tamez’s father depicted very visual commentary on the aftermath of his son’s injury:
“When they rushed him to the hospital he had swelling in his head,” Francisco Tamez said. “So they had to rush him to do emergency surgery to release the pressure. They had to cut half of his skull.”
Tamez is currently in a coma and he cannot breathe on his own. Since the incident, the Tamez family has created a GoFundMe page .
So far, the family has raised $10,525 and is urgently asking for prayers. They have a total goal of $15,000 to reach.
