2 Dead in Bellmead Collision
Authorities have released the names of two women killed in a traffic collision in Bellmead, Texas Monday evening.
About the Fatal Accident
According to KWTX, the collision occurred near Waco at the intersection of Air Base Road and Pecan Lane around 5 p.m. Monday.
Reports claim that 39-year-old Gerardo Reza-Reza was intoxicated when his truck collided with a car carrying Cherie Shupert, 25, and Robin Brown, 38. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Reza-Reza has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and is being held in McLennan County Jail on bonds totaling $200,000.

Following information provided by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT):
- In 2013, 3,377 people were killed in auto accidents in Texas.
- 1,089 of those deaths were linked to crashes in which a driver was under the influence of alcohol.
- Intoxicated driving accidents were most likely to occur between the 2:00 am and 2:59 am and were most prevalent on Saturdays.
