5th-Grade Child Hit by Car While Boarding Bus

According to the San Antonio Express-News, a fifth-grader at North Elementary was boarding a school bus Wednesday morning when a car passed the bus on the shoulder, striking the child.

Student in Shock but Responsive, says School District

The bus was picking up the student on Highway 181 near the 1604 Loop and FM 775 at 7:34 a.m. when the accident occurred. The Floresville ISD Facebook page says the child was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, Texas DPS Sgt. Deon Cockrell said the driver was cited and may face other charges, pending an investigation.
