Bicyclist Fatally Injured in Hit-and-Run by Driver

According to WFTV, a bicyclist is dead after being hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident in Rockledge, Florida, early Monday morning.

About the Fatal Bicycle Crash

The deadly bicycle accident occurred on Barnes Boulevard between Murrell Road and U.S. Highway 1 at around 3 a.m. local time. Christopher Holton was riding his bicycle on Barnes when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.

WFTV reports that Holton died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle, Dylan Pasik, fled the scene after fatally striking the bicyclist. Police were able to locate Pasik in a nearby neighborhood.

A witness to the accident told WFTV that the driver was driving recklessly prior to hitting Holton. Investigators say charges are pending against Pasik, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
