Bicyclist Sustains Severe Head Injuries in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to KPRC2, a man on a bicycle was injured in a crash after being hit by a pickup truck in Missouri City, Texas.

About the Injury Accident

Joe Luna Jr. was riding his bicycle to a bank on Court Road at around 7:00 p.m. when the injury accident occurred. Near the 1600 block of Court Road, Luna was hit by a truck traveling eastbound, striking him from behind.

KPRC2 reports that the driver of the truck stopped, and an occupant in the vehicle exited the vehicle and approached Luna as he lay in the street. After a short period of time, the pickup truck fled the scene.

Luna was severely injured in the crash, according to KPRC2. The injured bicyclist suffered injuries to the brain, requiring surgery to relieve swelling. In addition, Luna broken one of his legs and is having trouble relearning how to walk. He remains in the intensive care unit at the hospital.
