Authorities have arrested 43-year-old Larry Wayne Duncan of Cleveland, Ohio in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that left a young woman dead in San Jacinto County last week.
Details of the Fatal Accident
The Cleveland Advocate reports that Josey Scott, 19, was killed on February 10 when she was struck by a vehicle while jogging along FM 2666 near Red Road in Shepherd, Texas.
Reports indicate that Scott was completing her evening jog when the incident occurred, the driver fled the scene.
Authorities announced Friday that they had charged Cleveland resident Larry Duncan with Failure to Stop and Render Aid Resulting in Death, a second-degree felony.
While there had previously been speculation that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, DPS records did not mention alcohol or other intoxicants.
