Construction Worker, 27, Dies after being Run Over by Bulldozer

According to The Dispatch, a construction worker was killed by a bulldozer at a construction site in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, on Saturday afternoon.

Details of Workplace Accident

Justin Holmes, 27, was operating a bulldozer at a student apartment housing site on Bardwell Road when the accident happened. At around 12:30 p.m. local time, Holmes fell from his bulldozer and was run over.

According to The Dispatch, Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Holmes worked as a large equipment operator for Burns Dirt Construction. The project manager was unsure how Holmes fell from his machine.

Results of an autopsy are expected in around a week, potentially shedding light on the cause of the fatal accident.
