Driver Faces DUI Charges in Two-Vehicle Crash

According to WAVY, an alleged drunk driver crashed into a tow truck and flipped his car in Norfolk, Virginia, on Monday morning.

About the Drunk Driving Crash

The drunk driving wreck occurred on Interstate 264 near the Interstate 64 interchange at approximately 9:25 a.m. local time. Officials say a tow truck was hit by a car, causing the sedan to overturn onto the highway.

WAVY reports that the exact cause of the incident is unclear. However, state police believe the driver of the car was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.

It is unknown who was injured or how many were injured in the crash, according to WAVY. The incident shut down several eastbound lanes on Monday morning, causing significant traffic delays.
