Deadly Crash Remains under Investigation

A 77-year-old woman was attempting to cross Lawrence Expressway while pushing a shopping cart at around 6:30 a.m. when the fatal accident occurred. At the intersection with Cabrillo Avenue, the woman tried to cross the road as traffic had a green light when she was struck by a pickup truck.

Officials say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Emergency crews attempted to revive her with CPR but were unable to save the woman. According to The Mercury News, she has been identified as Michiko Aragaki.
