Kia has recalled more than a half-million vehicles due to the risk of an engine fire.
Officials report that a series of events which lead to oil leaks that can cause fires in Kia and Hyundai vehicles.
Fortune reports Kia Soul SUVs are the most affected by this, and the company has recalled close to half a million vehicles.
Hyundai has also recalled many of their SUVs. More than 300 such incidents have been reported, putting these companies under the magnifying glass. The Center for Auto Safety has asked to hold these companies responsible for failing to repair their vehicles.
These actions follow the massive Honda Ridgeline recall just earlier in February.
