Man Charged with Abusing 6-Month-old Boy


According to the Washington Post, the step-grandfather of a child is being charged with first- and second-degree child abuse after paramedics find the 6-month-old boy critically injured in his home.

The abuser, identified as 48-year-old Lenwood Pearson, was also charged with first- and second-degree assault. According to the Washington Post, investigators believe the baby was in the sole care of Pearson during the abuse.
No further details regarding the health of the child are known. The child was being treated at an area hospital as of Wednesday, reports the Washington Post.
