Man Dies After Being Pulled into Rock Crusher
A man who was seriously injured early last week when he was pulled into a rock crusher has died of his injuries.
About the Fatal Construction Accident
According to KSWO, the accident occurred in Atlus, Oklahoma around 11:00 am on May 2nd.
Jimmy Ray Baker, 45, of Houston, was working with a rock crusher when the equipment became jammed. He attempted to free the jam, but was pulled into the rock crusher.
Baker was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital for treatment, but passed away on Friday, May 5th.
The incident remains under investigation.

The following information was provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA):
- 4,836 workers were killed on the job in 2015. This averages to more than 93 deaths a week or more than 13 deaths every day.
- Of the 4,379 worker fatalities that occurred in private industry, 937 were associated with construction.

- Falls
- Struck by object
- Electrocutions
- Caught-In/Between
