Man Faces Charges after Causing Hit-and-Run Crash, Injuring One

According to WABI, a woman is hospitalized following a hit-and-run wreck in Smyrna, Maine, on Monday evening.

Details of the Injury Accident

Police say Aulton Fiegel, 28, crashed into the vehicle of 38-year-old Karen Lewis at approximately 8:00 p.m. local time. Fiegel rear-ended her car, severely damaging the back end and sending the car off the road and into trees.

Lewis was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries, reports WABI. Fiegel was located later, uninjured, at a hotel in nearby Houlton. Fiegel dropped his damaged pickup truck off at a local garage for repairs.

Police charged Fiegel with leaving the scene of an accident, driving to endanger, and driving with a suspended license.
