Man, Pregnant Woman Killed in Crockett Crash
A man and his pregnant wife were both killed in a fatal collision near Crockett, Texas Friday afternoon.
Couple Traveling to Baby Shower
The Department of Public Safety said the crash occurred when a 16-year-old boy attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone on State Highway 7and struck the young couple’s vehicle.
Jonathan Coppinger, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 25-year-old Jessica Coppinger, passed away while being transported to the hospital. Their unborn child died in the crash as well.
According to KSAT, the couple was traveling from their home in Marion, near San Antonio, to a baby shower in Nacogdoches.
