Officials are investigating a fatal construction accident that left a man dead in Caledonia, Michigan.
News Channel 3 is reporting that a Michigan man has lost his life in an accident at a construction site Monday morning.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Timothy Eugene Dougherty, was employed by Kent County Road Commission and was working on a roadway which was under construction for resurfacing.
The accident happened around 8:00 am, along the 6100 block of Alaska Avenue, in the township of Caledonia. Dougherty was reportedly struck by a motor grader operated by another worker.
Paramedics were called to the scene, along with police. Police determined the incident to be accidental. However, there is an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
