Details about the Fatal Belton Accident

KWTX News is reporting that a man who was killed when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle has been identified by the Belton Police Department as 57-year-old Steven Gordon Thacker, of Temple.

Police have indicated that the accident originally happened just after 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday along the 300 block of West Loop 121 in the area around the Bell County Expo Center. According to the Belton Police, Thacker was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the 1999 Volkswagen Jetta which collided with Thacker’s motorcycle was not injured in the accident. At this time no other further details have been released, but an investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
