Nearly 10,000 Lexus Vehicles Recalled for Fire Risk

Lexus has issued a national recall for 9,900 vehicles after determining the vehicles are at an increased risk of catching fire.

Details of the Lexus Fire Recall

According to Consumer Reports, the vehicles are equipped with faulty fuel pumps that can become damaged of time. The damage can lead to a fuel leak and increase the risk of fire.

Lexus dealers will replace the fuel pumps in affected vehicles with improved ones. Repairs will be made at no cost to customers.

Affected owners will be notified via first class mail beginning in April.

Models Included in the Lexus Fuel Pump Recall

The recall affects certain vehicles from the following model years:

  • 2015-2018 Lexus RC F
  • 2016-2018 Lexus GS F
  • 2018 Lexus LC 500
