Ohio Man Killed in Route 4 Crash

Police were able to identify the man killed in a t-bone collision on state Route 4 in Fairborn, Ohio, as 33-year-old Jeffrey White of Columbus this Thursday.

Details of the Fatal Accident

According to WHIO, White was one of three passengers riding in a 1998 Subaru Legacy that was turning left off of Ohio 4 onto Bath Road when it was hit broadside by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala around 3:50 PM on Thursday.

Michael White, aged 29, was driving the Legacy with two other passengers: Charley White, 30, and Dameon White, 10 months. The baby was in a child safety seat, but none of the three men were wearing their seat belts.

Brendan Bannon, 18, of Dayton, was driving the Impala with passengers Tommy Sims, 19, and Jailon Curtis, aged 17.

Whilst Jeffrey White was pronounced dead on the scene, Michael and Charley White were taken to Miami Valley Hospital, along with Curtis and Sims. Bannan was taken to Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, and the baby was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital. None of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

According to a statement released by the Ohio State Patrol’s Xenia post, the investigation, which closed the southbound lanes of state Route 4 for three hours after the accident, is ongoing.
