One Dead, Another Injured in Guadalupe County Accident
One person died and another was critically injured in an accident in Guadalupe County on Tuesday morning.
Details about the Guadalupe County Collision
The Seguin Gazette is reporting that one person was killed and another was seriously injured in an early morning accident on Tuesday morning in Guadalupe County.
The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on the 9000 block of Farm-to-Market Road 467, according to Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Lieutenant John Koch. Lt. Koch said that there was a reports of an accident involving two vehicles in the Olmos area, and that it may have been a head-on collision.
Emergency crews found two heavily damaged vehicles when they arrived on the scene as well as two victims, according to the fire chief from New Berlin. Although the original call stated that the accident may have been a head-on collision, emergency crews determined that may not have been the case after all and that the accident may have been a side collission.
The fire chief also indicated that one of the victims was already dead when the emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident. The other victim was suffering from extensive injuries and was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center via helicopter.
Lieutenant Koch said that the accident is currently under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The identity or the condition of the victim that was taken to the hospital are currently unavailable at this time.
