One Dead, Five Hospitalized in Crash Near UTSA
A juvenile was killed and several others were injured in a crash between a car and an SUV near the University of Texas at San Antonio Thursday afternoon.
Details of the Fatal San Antonio Crash
According to San Antonio Express-News, the fatal crash occurred around 12:30 pm in the 6300 block of West Hausman Road.
Police say five juveniles were in a black sedan traveling west on Hausman when it collided with a gold SUV that was exiting a Northside Independent School District. The driver of the sedan was declared dead at the scene.
Three passengers of the sedan were taken to area hospitals, and a third juvenile was treated at the scene. Two adult occupants of the SUV were also taken to the hospital.
Investigators did not detail which vehicle was responsible for the crash nor did they release details on how fast the vehicles were traveling. It is unclear if the juveniles were NISD students.

- Based on reportable data for 2020, TxDOT determined:
- One person was killed in a car crash in Texas every 2 hours and 15 minutes.
- A person was injured in a crash every 2 minutes and 34 seconds.
- A reportable crash occurred every 1 minute and 7 seconds.
