A 25-year-old man died Friday evening when he was speeding on his motorcycle and slammed into a car.
Around 7:40 on June 5, San Antonio police and firefighters responded to a call in the 1500 block of SW Military Drive at Escalon.
Witnesses told KENS that they saw a man driving a car in the westbound lane to take a left onto Escalon when the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed, colliding with the car.
The collision “went up in a puff of smoke” according to other witnesses. Officials on the scene said that the motorcycle slid about 300 years after the impact.
A family member, who did not want to be identified, told KENS 5 that the victim had just turned 25 on June 3. According to the SAPD, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
