One worker is dead and another is in critical condition after the two fell three stories at a Jacksonville construction site.

Details of the Jacksonville Construction Accident

According to The Florida Times-Union, the fatal accident occurred at the Mary Eaves apartment complex in the 1200 block of West 16^th Street, near Myrtle Avenue.

The men were reportedly working out of a wooden crate perched atop a hydraulic lift when the crate tipped over. It is unclear if the workers were strapped into harnesses.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be conducting an investigation into the accident.
