One Dead, One Injured, One on the Run in Fatal Car Crash

According to WJBK, one person died and another was seriously injured after crashing a stolen car into an overpass on Interstate 75 in Detroit, Michigan.

Joyriding When Crash Occurred

Police say three men were involved in the early morning, single-car crash. The driver of the vehicle lost control of the car, went up an embankment, and slammed into a bridge on Interstate 75 near Seven Mile Road. Officials believe speed was a factor in the crash, according to WJBK.

When emergency crews arrived, it was too late to save the life of the driver.

A passenger who was in the back seat survived the crash, but suffered substantial injuries and is currently in critical condition at a nearby hospital. According to WJBK, the third man was able to escape from the wrecked car and flee the scene of the accident.
