Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

ABC 10 News is reporting that a man from Iron River was killed after being involved in a motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday evening.

According to the Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post, 48-year-old Gary Sarafini was riding his motorcycle heading south on Gibb Road in the Iron River Township at about 9:15 p.m. when, for some reason, it left the roadway near the area of Powell Mill Road. Sarafini was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Iron County Medical Examiner.

At this time, police have stated that they believe that alcohol and high speeds are likely factors in the accident. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
