Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Metro Bus in Houston

According to KPRC2, a pedestrian is dead after being hit by a bus in downtown Houston on Tuesday evening.

Details of Fatal Bus-Pedestrian Accident

The accident occurred feet away from Market Square Park in downtown Houston at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Milam Street. A METRO bus was turning onto Milam when it hit a pedestrian.

Officials are currently unsure if the man was in or near a crosswalk at the time of the collision, according to KPRC2. Surveillance video from the bus will be used to determine where the pedestrian stood.

No passengers were present on the bus at the time of the crash. KPRC2 reports that officials are talking to potential witnesses to help determine the cause of the crash.
